How to Apply for Leave
Overview
This guide shows you how to submit a leave request using the LeaveHub system. The process is simple and takes just a few minutes to complete.
Before You Start
- Make sure you know your leave dates
- Have any supporting documents ready (medical certificates, etc.)
- Check your leave balance to ensure you have enough days available
Applying Leave
Step 1: Choose Your Leave Duration
- Select Single Day if taking one day off
- Select Date Range if taking multiple consecutive days off
- Select Half Day if taking a half day off
Step 2: Select Your Dates
For Single Day: - Click on the date field and choose your leave date from the calendar
For Date Range: - Choose your start date from the first calendar - Choose your end date from the second calendar
Step 3: Choose Leave Type
- Click the Leave Type dropdown menu
- Select the appropriate leave type (Annual Leave, Sick Leave, etc.)
- The system will automatically calculate the number of days
Step 4: Add Your Reason
- In the Reason text box, explain why you need leave
- Be clear and brief (this field is required)
Step 5: Upload Supporting Documents (Optional)
- Click Choose File if you need to attach documents
- Select your file (medical certificate, approval letter, etc.)
- Supported file types include PDF, DOC, and images
Step 6: Review and Submit
- Check all your information is correct
- Review your leave balance to ensure you have enough days
- Click the Apply button to submit your request
What Happens Next
- Your manager will receive a notification about your leave request
- You'll get an email confirmation that your request was submitted
- You can check the status of your request in the dashboard
Important Notes
- Leave balance: Check your available days before applying
- Holidays: The system shows upcoming holidays that may affect your leave
- Carry forward: Any carried forward leave from previous years will be shown
- Required fields: Make sure to fill in your reason - this field cannot be left empty
