How to Assign Leave Types to Users


Overview

This process allows you to control which leave types each employee can use when submitting leave requests. You can assign multiple leave types to a single user based on their role and entitlements.

Step-by-Step Assignment Process

1. Access User Management

  • Navigate to LeaveHub from the main menu
  • Click on "Users" in the side menu of Leavhub

2. Select Target Employee

  • Find the employee using the search box or scroll through the list
  • Click on the employee's name or User Allowance button in the actions tab

3. Assign Leave Types

  • Click on the "Add" button
  • Select the Leave type from dropdown
  • Example Leaves:
    1. Annual Leave
    2. Sick Leave
    3. Other custom leave types

4. Set Leave Balances

  • Enter the annual allocation for each selected leave type
  • Set carry-over limits if applicable
  • Specify any restrictions or conditions

5. Save Changes

  • Click Save or Update User
  • Verify the assignment in the user's profile

Quick Troubleshooting

Issue: Leave type not appearing for user

Solution: Check if the user has the correct role permissions

Issue: Cannot save changes

Solution: Verify all required fields are filled and you have admin permissions
